(Letter to CAA from owner) “I am making application for an experimental license. . . Will be used entirely for show and exhibition work. The modification consists of removing the fabric from the fuselage, adding a fake skid to the nose, all faring on the fuselage removed, rear seat removed. Ship is supposed to look much older than it really is; will be flown solo on short hops around the field only. Ship will be moved from place to place by trailer.”
