Continental A 40

Maintenance record entry shows in 1933, N10907 was issued an “Experimental or Restricted license to determine the feasibility of Continental A 40 engine in this type aircraft, to replace Szekely engine which is no longer manufactured. ”   This work was done by the Airtech School of Aviation in San Diego, California.

Records do not show the outcome of the testing, except that the Szekely was reinstalled.
